The Outstanding Book in each category will be announced August 15 and the top three books of the year will be announced on August 17.

"As an author and the creator of the novel ‘Blood Prize’, Ken Grace can only be described as a God-like figure, born with the physical attributes gifted to such a deity. His amazing characteristics could be accredited thusly:

He is sensationally short, brilliantly bald … lucky in that his hair has migrated from his head to other areas of his person such as his back and sizable buttocks. He is also fabulously flabby, ridiculously rude, verbally incontinent and weird in that he stares at you in a creepy and superior way for no earthly apparent reason.

There is also his disdain for cleanliness, his ability to produce wind in the most inappropriate of circumstances and his knack of seeing the negative in every situation to take into account.

Also, his vision is impaired, his hearing is almost non-existent, the air around him smells like sewerage and he can’t taste anything unless it’s been left in the sun for several weeks. Yet, it’s his sense of touch that is possibly the most interesting, in that he has to hug everything he comes in contact with, from lamp posts to people, with the experience of his touch feeling something like sharp, greasy, ice.

Hello again!
Welcome to our new blog format. It's in the Beta testing stage so there will be some duplication until we make the switch to this blog  format all the way. So please be patient with us as we transition.

For those who aren't familiar with Carter Novels, we do what we can to support other authors. One of our programs is our BROWSE for BOOKS page on our website ( www.CarterNovels.com). We feature a new author every two weeks and promote them and their works on several social media outlets during that time.

The page is set up with Amazon carousels featuring links to their books at the beginning for easy browsing. Immediately below the carousels, the featured author has the top post. After the promo the posts stay on the page indefinitely dropping down on the page as new authors are introduced. Occasionally we shuffle the order so earlier posts don't get totally overlooked.

Excerpt from Clone Drones – "....A few minutes later, as he thought about tomorrow’s busy schedule, he noticed the smoke begin to ripple from below the balcony rail.
Soon the smoke cleared away with a whisper of sound as a small black box with rotors on top appeared hovering in front of him. The Senator stood rubbing his eyes in disbelief. Suddenly a small panel retracted on the front of the box and two muffled shots hit him in the chest. He looked down as blood began pouring out and soaking his shirt. Grabbing his chest he turned and stumbled toward the bedroom door. Another muffled shot from behind dropped him in his tracks.
On the other side of the balcony railing the flying black box retreated silently into the darkness...."
